Does the male orgasm have any effect on the male's testosterone levels? i.e. does it enhance or promote production of testosterone?

Testosterone drives the male's need for sex and ejaculation. Once puberty is reached and testosterone production begins it continues whether you ejaculate or not.

Actually, the male orgasm (and female as well) causes an increase in the hormone prolactin. While not prolactin's primary purpose, it does cause a diminshed sex drive. But only for a little while. This is why most males have a certain refractory period before they can get another erection or even desire to get another. Some men don't have a long refractory period while others have a very long refractory period. But as for testosterone production, I have not seen where male orgasm has an effect on testosterone.
